OUR STAFF AND FRIENDS:
All of the workers here at SKIP'S BEACH RESORT are relatives of the owner, Belle Ellsworth.
All of Belle's relatives (sisters, brothers, cousins, etc.) are kind, generous, loving, honest, shy, quiet, always smiling, and always eager to make your stay with us a pleasant one.
The owner, Belle Ellsworth is also a very shy, provincial girl. She always has a smile on her face, and she is always eager to help people in any way possible.
Even though all of these workers are very friendly, they also realize that some of our guests are looking for privacy – solitude -- peace and quiet -- a place to relax. Therefore, our staff tries to keep a "low profile" -- and give our guests all the privacy they are looking for.
The photos immediately below are of some of the workers (relatives) that are on duty TODAY
Ahmee is Belle's sister. Abel is Belle's brother. Albert is Belle's brother. Amelio is Belle's brother
Amelita is Belle's sister. Ivory is Belle's cousin. Meloni is Belle's cousin. Meloni...
Tutong is our maintenance manager -- one of Skip's good friends -- and a true GENIUS at fixing ANYTHING.
REGARDING SKIP'S FRIEND STEVE WHITE: In case you are wondering why Steve comes to visit us so often -- it has become obvious that "Ahmee" is the answer. Ahmee is Belle's sister, and she lives and works with us here at the beach. Below are a few photos of Steve and Ahmee taking care of Skip's son, little DeWelle Ferguson [Flip] Ellsworth V (the fifth).
WHOOPS... the following photos of Steve and Ahmee were taken a few months later (on August 18, 2007), and it looks like things might definitely be "developing..." Steve's arm around Ahmee was just for "photo purposes" (with Belle carefully chaperoning). Ahmee has never been alone with a boy -- which is very often the case with these girls.
ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING STEVE AND AHMEE (SEE PHOTOS BELOW): Today is September 20, 2007. We are happy to say that from now on this will be known as the date that Steve White and Ahmee Melecio (Belle’s sister) became engaged to be married. They will be married either within two weeks – or within two days – depending upon whether Steve’s dad and mom can come here (from America) for the wedding. If so… we will wait. If not… then the wedding will take place as soon as possible. The photos below were taken at the “Engagement Dinner” which was held here at Skip’s Beach Resort. We were starting to wonder if Steve (now 36 years old) would ever get married. We think it is ironic that Steve has dated at least half of the women in the world (many of whom were beautiful, rich, famous, sophisticated, worldly, etc.) but his heart was not captured until he met this totally captivating 18 year old “country-girl” (from a small island in the Philippines) that had never even held hands with a boy before she met Steve.
After the wedding Steve will be Skip’s “brother-in-law” – Steve will be an “uncle” to Skip’s children (some of whom are much older than Steve) – Skip will be an “uncle” to each of the 12 kids that Steve and Ahmee will undoubtedly have.
We are happy to say that our workers sometimes fall in love with guests that stay at our resort -- get married --
leave us -- and end up
living happily ever after.
Of course, we are always very happy for our workers when they fall in love and get married -- even though there are a lot of tears and hugs when they leave. Perhaps this is a good example of what Shakespeare meant when he said, "Parting is such sweet sorrow."
The following photos are of people that currently work with us -- previously worked with us -- or (in some cases) are just good friends that help us occasionally.
PS: In case you are wondering about the sign ["Hi Phil"]... it refers to our good friend, Phil Lynch, an American that resides primarily in Thailand. Phil is a frequent guest at our resort, and therefore, he and Skip became very good friends. For example, whenever Phil goes to the Seattle area (in America) he stays at Skip's huge log home even though Skip is not there. Phil is an awesome guy and he has a good sense of humor. Therefore the girls greatly enjoy hanging out with him, communicating with him by email, etc., etc.
HAIR ANYONE ???
OCHO-OCHO (BELOW) IS ONE OF OUR SECURITY GUARD-DOGS.
He is trained in the fine art of yawning... sleeping... getting lost... etc.
OUR THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY ARE AS FOLLOWS:
"Do you think that we want those laws to be observed? We want them broken. There's
no way to rule innocent men. The only power the government has is the power to crack
down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One
declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live
without breaking laws."
Ayn Rand - (1905-1982) Author Source: Atlas Shrugged, 1957
"A man who has never
gone to school may steal from a freight car, but if he has
a university education he may steal the whole railroad."
Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945), 32nd US President
